The steel objects are placed in this liquid for one night then thoroughly rinsed with clean water or, alternatively, they are first treated with lime water or a solution of soda ash for neutralizing and then rinsed with water, after which they are dried to be painted, etc.
This treatment is suitable for derusting or descaling steel products practically without dissolving the steel base. |
